Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has laid the foundation to enhance the competitiveness of public early childhood education in the Busan area by being selected not only as a ‘Pilot Area for Education Development Special Zone’ but also for the ‘Community-Based Early Childhood Education and Care Innovation Support Project.’
The Office of Education was selected as an excellent education office after jointly applying with Busan City and Busan Gyeongsang National University for the Ministry of Education-led ‘Community-Based Early Childhood Education and Care Innovation Support Project.’
This project aims to improve the competitiveness of public education led by the community through cooperation among the Office of Education, local governments, and universities, and to discover excellent education and care models for young children.
Busan Office of Education plans to implement various projects for young children in the Busan area over three years with a special grant of 2.4 billion KRW from the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Busan City and Busan Gyeongsang National University.
To strengthen community-based public education, the Office of Education will undertake initiatives such as operating Busan-themed curriculum base kindergartens and developing and distributing evaluation platforms, developing and distributing specialized after-school programs based on emotional and digital foundations, and running happiness programs.
In particular, through ‘Integration and Promotion of Early Childhood Education and Care,’ high-quality education and care services will be provided. To this end, the Office will promote ‘Happy Parents’ support projects including operating educational family network programs, developing and distributing digital parenting channels, and establishing and managing early childhood education and care platforms.
