Hwang Sung-woo, CEO of Samsung SDS, "Leading Hyperautomation with AI-Based Cloud"
Samsung SDS held its 39th regular general meeting of shareholders on the 20th at the Jamsil campus.
At the shareholders' meeting, agenda items such as approval of the financial statements, appointment of outside director In-Sil Lee, appointment of inside directors Sung-Woo Hwang and Hyung-Jun Koo, appointment of audit committee member In-Sil Lee, and approval of the director remuneration limit were resolved.
Samsung SDS recorded sales of 13.2768 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 808.2 billion KRW last year. Although sales decreased by 23% compared to the previous year, the core businesses of cloud and digital logistics showed significant growth.
Samsung SDS CEO Sung-Woo Hwang explained the achievements such as surpassing annual cloud business sales of 1.8807 trillion KRW and expanding the cloud sales ratio within IT services to 31% in his greeting at the shareholders' meeting.
Regarding the cloud business, CEO Hwang said, "It is growing on three pillars: the CSP business based on the enterprise-customized Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP), the all-in-one managed cloud service (MSP), and enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) for work innovation," adding, "In particular, this year will be the first year for the cloud-based integrated SCM solution to enter the global SCM SaaS market."
In the logistics business, the digital logistics platform Cello Square's sales exceeded 550 billion KRW last year, more than doubling compared to 2022. The number of countries providing services expanded to 13, and 11,100 subscribing companies were secured, marking the beginning of becoming a global digital logistics platform.

CEO Hwang stated, "We have continuously made efforts to integrate generative AI into all of the company's services, products, and ways of working, and we expect this to innovate the work of both our company and our customers," adding, "Through the enterprise generative AI cloud platform FabriX and the collaboration solution Brity Copilot, we will help corporate customers take their first steps on the journey of hyper-automation."
