Mapo-gu Spring Cleaning United Citizens, Government, and Military
On the 19th at 7 a.m., Mapo-gu conducted a spring cleaning across the entire district, including Hongdae Red Road and Gongdeok Market.
The cleaning event was attended by Park Gang-su, the mayor of Mapo-gu, Mapo-gu staff, residents, professional organizations, and businesses. For the first time this year, the 56th Division military unit also participated to support the community.
Mayor Park Gang-su personally took up a broom to collect trash discarded on roads and alleys and carried out water cleaning to remove dust from the streets.
Before the cleaning began, Mayor Park Gang-su said, “I hope that through this cleaning, we can thoroughly remove the accumulated dust from the winter and welcome a new spring.” He added, “Mapo-gu has designated the entire month of March as a special period for spring cleaning, and we will strive to make Mapo a clean and vibrant district.”
