'Public Office Intern' Reported... Ulsan City Supports 19 Unemployed Youths in Gaining Experience
Experiential Youth Interns Begin Working in 16 Departments at the Headquarters
Experiential interns who help unemployed youth in the Ulsan area build their careers are entering 'public service' life.
Ulsan City announced that on the 18th at 11 a.m., starting with preliminary training for 19 young people at the City Council 1st floor Citizen Hall, they will begin full-scale work.
The preliminary training includes sexual harassment prevention education, work rules guidance, and labor contract preparation.
The youth interns will work in 16 departments of the main office for about six months from that day until September 30.
They will gain administrative experience by performing various tasks such as planning and short-term project execution, policy promotion, and statistical data preparation.
In addition to the youth intern program, Ulsan City is investing 7 billion KRW to promote 17 youth support projects in the job sector to expand youth employment and strengthen capabilities.
The main projects include the Ulsan City public institution youth intern recruitment project, university student part-time job recruitment project, youth promising job recruitment-linked intern support project, and this year’s newly launched youth certification exam fee support project.
Detailed information about the youth policy projects promoted by Ulsan City can be found on the ‘Ulsan Youth Policy Platform.’
An official from Ulsan City said, “We hope that the six-month internship experience will be of practical help in preparing for employment, and we will continue to steadily promote youth employment support and public sector job provision projects.”
