Gyeonggi-do Offers Up to 1 Million KRW Living Scholarships for Middle and High School Students
Gyeonggi Province will provide an annual youth living scholarship of 700,000 to 1,000,000 KRW to economically disadvantaged middle and high school students and out-of-school youth within the province.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 18th that from the 20th of this month until the 5th of next month, it will select 9,614 youths who are recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security, legally designated lower-income groups, or have a median income of 100% or less, and who are economically struggling, to receive the youth living scholarship funded by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance's lottery fund.
The youth living scholarship amounts to 700,000 KRW annually for middle school students and 1,000,000 KRW annually for high school students. Out-of-school youth are those born between 2006 and 2011.
Applications for the living scholarship are accepted online through ‘Gyeonggi Minwon 24 (https://gg24.gg.go.kr)’, and if online application is difficult, applicants can visit their local administrative welfare center to apply in person.
