Man Who Wielded Weapon at Woman Reporting Illegal Filming Faces Detention Decision
A man in his 70s who wielded a weapon against a woman who reported illegal filming is now facing the possibility of detention.
On the 17th, the Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced that they have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, a man in his 70s who was urgently arrested on charges of special injury and attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of injuring a woman in her 60s, whom he knew, by wielding a weapon on a street in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, on the 16th, and then fleeing the scene.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A committed the crime after illegally filming the victim with a mobile phone and the victim reported it.
The female victim sustained injuries to her face but is not in life-threatening condition, according to the investigation.
