Wildfires in Southwest China's Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces... 3 Firefighters Dead
Three firefighters died while fighting a wildfire that broke out on the 16th in Yunnan Province, southwestern China.
According to a report by the state-run China Central Television (CCTV) on the 17th, a wildfire occurred around 6:10 PM (local time) the previous day in the forest of Douge Village, Linxiang District, Linchang City, Yunnan Province, burning approximately 5.33 hectares (53,300 square meters), and was completely extinguished around 11:05 PM.
Local authorities deployed 110 personnel to control the fire, but CCTV reported that three firefighters lost their lives.
