On the afternoon of the 15th at around 2:30 PM, the area in front of Chungjang Post Office in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, where Han Dong-hoon, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, visited the 'most challenging' Gwangju, was packed with citizens.

Although Chairman Han had not yet arrived, the supporters and opposing citizens engaged in intense verbal confrontations.
A lone protester raised their voice criticizing the current administration, while supporters of Chairman Han countered by criticizing Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party.
There were a few scuffles, but thanks to the intervention of police and bystanders, the situation did not escalate into a major physical fight.
As the commotion continued, not only supporters but also passersby who stopped briefly to watch were noticeable. One citizen uttered a somewhat extreme phrase, "Die Han Dong-hoon," and hurried on, while another citizen who heard it shouted back, "Han Dong-hoon lives well."
At around 3:30 PM, the alley adjacent to the main road became noisy, and with chants of "Han Dong-hoon," Chairman Han appeared. He took a seat on the steps in front of the post office along with eight People Power Party preliminary candidates from the Gwangju area.
Introducing each preliminary candidate one by one, shaking hands, and appealing for support, he then stated, "Today, I came to Gwangju, to Honam, prepared to be neglected." He added, "I was ready to endure that because I truly wanted to improve the lives of Gwangju citizens."

He also said, "This election is not an ideological war, but a battle between forces trying to regress South Korea and those trying to advance it," adding, "We will make South Korea a safe country, present a future, and move forward."
He then said, "We (People Power Party) want your love. So we really want to do better," and added, "We are the future force. We will bring that future to you."
