Muan Police Station Arrests Suspect in Habitual Financial Fraud Affecting Public Livelihood
Confirmed about 50 CCTV Footages in 6 Days After Incident... Swift Arrest Made
The Muan Police Station in Jeonnam (Chief Kang Yong-jun) has arrested a habitual fraud suspect (commonly known as: Nedabai) who deceived victims and embezzled funds.
According to Muan Police on the 15th, the suspect is accused of pretending to live near self-employed business owners in Jeonnam, Gwangju, Iksan, and Daegu from April last year to February this year, deceiving 20 victims into ordering goods they were selling, and embezzling about 3.5 million won.
It was revealed that the suspect used the embezzled money for personal expenses such as living costs.
In particular, the suspect is wanted in 16 cases nationwide and is currently on the run without a residence or means of communication. The Muan Police Station quickly apprehended the suspect by reviewing about 50 CCTV footages within six days of the incident.

Chief Kang Yong-jun stated, “We will thoroughly investigate the habitual fraud suspect case to uncover additional crimes, and continue to conduct strong investigations into chronic and malicious crimes that disturb the lives of residents.” He emphasized, “Active reporting by victims is of utmost importance.”
