Gwangju City to Hold Expert Review Meeting on Special Project in Central Park District 1

Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kang Gi-jung) announced on the 14th that it will hold the "Central Park District 1 Development Act Special Project Expert Verification Meeting" at 9:30 a.m. on the 18th in the city hall's medium conference room.
This meeting was organized to verify the excess profits from the Central Park District 1 development and the appropriateness of changes to the project plan.
Gwangju City selected eight experts from various fields including parks, architecture, civil engineering, accounting, finance, urban planning, the council, and civic groups by receiving recommendations from relevant departments and institutions to ensure fair selection of committee members by field.
In accordance with the principles of speed, transparency, and openness, Gwangju City will fully disclose the expert verification meeting through live broadcasts on YouTube and external monitors outside the conference room. Additionally, the meeting results will be posted on the Gwangju City website so that any citizen can view them.
Furthermore, Gwangju City plans to secure transparency by publicly broadcasting the urban planning committee review process, which will take place after the expert verification, via internet live streaming. The final amended project agreement will also be disclosed.

Earlier, Mayor Kang Gi-jung stated on the 11th, "We will proceed with all processes of the Central District 1 private park special project according to the principles of speed, transparency, and openness," adding, "We will conduct expert verification on excess profit verification and the feasibility of pre-sale results to finalize the project plan, and after the urban planning committee review, we will conclude the final project agreement."
