Incheon Seo-gu Transforms into the 'City of Light'... Baekseok Bridge Radiates Multicolored Lights
DK Asia Installs Specialized Landscape Lighting on Baekseok Bridge
Departing from Incheon Airport and passing through the dark Airport Expressway, the dazzling lights of Geomam Station Royal Park City and Baekseok Bridge catch the eye. Following the lights to Cheongna IC, from the moment you enter the Baekseok Bridge entrance, you are greeted by a stunning night view with flowing multicolored lights.
Incheon Seo-gu, which had long been dark, has transformed into a city of light. On the 14th, DK Asia announced that it installed specialized landscape lighting along a 4 km section of Baekseok Bridge and Bongsu-daero, making Baekseok Bridge a representative symbol of the region.
Since the move-in of Geomam Station Royal Park City last September, DK Asia has completely replaced the 1.6 km section of Baekseok Bridge and the 2.4 km section of Bongsu-daero with its self-developed 'Signature Light Emitting Diode (LED) streetlights' to create a safer and more attractive urban landscape. Specialized landscape lighting was also applied to the four main towers and wires of Baekseok Bridge. This is the first case where a private company, not a local government, has developed urban infrastructure.
Streetlights are usually installed to illuminate streets and facilitate smooth vehicle flow, but the newly replaced streetlights provide not only their original function but also aesthetically beautiful and brilliant light, offering a differentiated landscape, explained DK Asia. Just as Gwangandaegyo Bridge in Gwangalli, Busan, enhanced regional value and contributed to local economic revitalization by installing landscape lighting, Baekseok Bridge is also expected to become a scenic landmark through its multicolored landscape lighting.
To improve the city’s aesthetics, DK Asia also applied design specialization to the retaining walls. White-flowered Ippop trees and king cherry trees, symbolizing spring, will be planted along the streets in accordance with their blooming seasons by the end of this month.
