Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 14th that the '2024 County Residents' Happiness Academy' will open on the 20th.
The County Residents' Happiness Academy will be held again this year under the supervision of Mokpo National University Lifelong Education Center, taking place on the fourth Wednesday of every month until December. The lectures cover various fields such as politics and economy, culture and arts, health, and general knowledge.
On the 20th at 3 PM, the opening ceremony will be held in the large conference room of Hwasun County Office, featuring a special lecture by former Suncheon Mayor Cho Chung-hoon titled "Don't Stop! Change to Survive."
Lecturer Cho Chung-hoon served as the 4th, 7th, and 8th mayor of Suncheon and was the president of the National Association of Mayors, County Governors, and District Heads, as well as the chairman of the South Coast Southern Region Development Council from 2014 to 2016.
