Guro-gu, Oryu Market Redevelopment Project Progressing Steadily... Approval of Association Establishment
Following the November announcement of zone designation (project implementation plan approval) last year, the union establishment approval was processed this month
The redevelopment project of Oryu Market in Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is progressing smoothly.
Oryu Market, established in 1968, had become outdated and lacked convenience facilities. Various attempts were made to renovate it, but the project faced difficulties and stagnation due to suspensions and cancellations over the past 30 years.
Last November, the district received approval (zone designation) from the Seoul Metropolitan Government for the Oryu Market redevelopment plan, and on the 5th of this month, the establishment of the association was authorized, putting the project on a full-scale track.
According to the plan, the designated area covers 4,899㎡ with a floor area ratio of up to 800%, a building coverage ratio of up to 65%, and will consist of three buildings including neighborhood living facilities, with 6 basement floors and 26 above-ground floors, totaling 234 residential units.
After this association establishment approval, once the project implementer submits the integrated review application, the agenda will be presented to the Seoul Market Redevelopment Integrated Review Committee after consultation and review by related departments.
