Gyeonggi Province will expand the ‘Wildlife Ecology Conservation Learning’ education program for children and adolescents this year.
Wildlife Ecology Conservation Learning is an educational program where children and adolescents visit the learning centers within the Gyeonggi Wildlife Rescue and Management Centers in Pyeongtaek and Yeoncheon to experience wildlife ecology, rescue, and treatment activities on-site. Last year, 4,639 children from daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary schools participated.

Additionally, a ‘Veterinarian Career Experience’ program will be introduced at the Pyeongtaek Wildlife School, and new educational content will be added to the outdoor experience area and indoor exhibition hall.
Shin Byungho, Director of the Animal Welfare Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Since 2022, we have been operating this program to protect wildlife and raise awareness about the importance of ecosystem conservation. We hope that children and adolescents, as the future generation, will recognize the value of life and develop habits to protect and coexist with wildlife in their daily lives."
