Corporate Vehicles Also Managed with Socar... Launch of 'SocarFMS'
Socar announced on the 13th that it will launch 'SocarFMS,' a business-to-business (B2B) car-sharing solution that allows 3.44 million corporate-owned vehicles in Korea to be used and managed contactlessly like Socar.
SocarFMS is a solution that enables vehicles owned by corporations or operated under long-term leases to be reserved and used via smartphone just like Socar. Through a dedicated terminal installed in the vehicle, real-time data on the vehicle’s status, location, driving habits, external environment (black box), and all necessary mobility information are transmitted to a control system for integrated management. Corporate customers can reduce costs and time spent on vehicle operation and management, while also receiving support for various safety policies such as safe driving, accident prevention, and emergency response in case of accidents.
Employees of companies that adopt the solution can reserve and use corporate vehicles equipped with Socar’s proprietary hardware (such as STS) via the Socar app on their smartphones without needing a separate vehicle key. By applying an IoT cloud-based vehicle control and management system to corporate vehicles, processes such as reservation, usage, cancellation, key dispensing management, and driving log creation are conducted through the Socar app and a dedicated webpage, enabling operational efficiency improvements in manpower, costs, and management compared to before.
Administrators can grant corporate vehicle usage permissions through a company-exclusive webpage. Functions such as vehicle allocation by department, checking reservation/driving history, and easily exporting driving logs are also provided. Other expenses like fuel costs and Hi-Pass tolls can be managed in an integrated manner. If there is a shortage of corporate vehicles in operation or in cases of breakdowns or repairs, nearby Socar vehicles located in Socar zones can be used as substitutes.
