Next-Generation Convergence Technology Institute Launches 'Convergence Technology Startup Support Program' for University Students
Gyeonggi Province and the Next-Generation Convergence Technology Institute are recruiting university student entrepreneurs in the province to participate in the 'University Student Convergence Technology Startup Support Project' aimed at revitalizing and advancing technology startups by university students until the 29th of this month.
The University Student Convergence Technology Startup Support Project is a program that supports next-generation technology-based startups by university students in the province by utilizing the startup infrastructure of the Next-Generation Convergence Technology Institute and Seoul National University.
The eligible applicants are university and graduate students under the age of 39 who are either enrolled in universities located in the province or residing in the province.
The Next-Generation Convergence Technology Institute will select a total of 20 teams through document screening and presentation evaluation.
Gyeonggi Province is launching the 'Convergence Technology Startup Support Project' for university students aspiring to start their own businesses.
View original imageThe final selected teams will receive commercialization support funds necessary for startups, ranging from 10 million KRW to a maximum of 50 million KRW, covering prototype production costs, promotional expenses, intellectual property application and registration fees, and more.
They will also be granted eligibility to move into individual startup spaces and will be provided with various programs such as convergence technology mentoring, startup special lectures, and company briefings (IR pitching).
University students wishing to participate can apply through the Next-Generation Convergence Technology Institute website (aict.snu.ac.kr) by the 29th of this month.

Baey Sang-sang, Head of the Venture Startup Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will actively support young startups with excellent ideas and business items to succeed in commercialization," and added, "We hope that this project will serve as a foundation for them to grow into representative startups of Gyeonggi Province."
