Anseong-si Installs CPTED Address Information Facilities on Women’s Safe Return Home Streets
LED Number Plates Installed at 32 Locations Across 11 Sections in the District
On the 12th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has completed the installation of CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) address information facilities in major areas within the city to ensure the safety of women returning home.
'CPTED' refers to crime prevention through environmental design, and the installation targets include 32 locations across 11 women’s safe return routes within the city.

The city improved the nighttime walking environment by installing solar-powered LED base number plates at the existing 112 emergency call sign locations, enhancing the visibility of the plates to enable accurate location guidance.
Additionally, by utilizing QR codes, it is now possible to send rescue request messages to the police and fire department, as well as access the National Disaster Safety Portal, Anseong City Hall website, and road name address information sites. Using the QR codes allows for precise location information confirmation during emergencies, facilitating prompt reporting and response.

Kwon Soon-gwang, head of the Land Civil Affairs Division of Anseong City, expressed, "The installation of nighttime lighting on address information facilities is expected to greatly contribute to crime prevention and the convenience of citizens’ lives," adding, "We will continue to expand related facilities going forward."
