SK Hynix Strengthens Overseas Response Team... Will US Packaging Facility Accelerate?
Recruiting Experienced Professionals Across Various Fields This Year

"Need to Read Changes in Key Countries and Respond Quickly"
SK Hynix has recently strengthened its workforce responsible for overseas business strategies. The personnel will be in charge of tasks such as selecting sites for new overseas subsidiaries, research and development (R&D), and production facilities, raising expectations that the advancement of the advanced packaging production facility project being considered for installation in the United States will accelerate.
According to the semiconductor industry on the 12th, SK Hynix has recently been recruiting experienced professionals in the field of business analysis. The company closed applications on the 10th for candidates with more than four years of experience and is conducting additional screening. A company official stated that the recruitment is being carried out to reinforce the workforce.
In the job posting, one of the main responsibilities for the position was reviewing global business, site-related projects, and operational strategies. The personnel are expected to be involved in tasks related to new overseas subsidiaries as well as research and production facilities. In particular, SK Hynix is considering establishing an advanced packaging facility in the United States and is carefully selecting a site, making it highly likely that this recruitment will lead to concrete progress.
SK Hynix has also recently completed applications for experienced policy response personnel in its global growth promotion division and is conducting further screening. This division was newly formed through an organizational restructuring at the end of last year, reflecting the need to strengthen personnel amid the rapidly changing global semiconductor market.
The company is also actively recruiting new graduates for global response roles. In January, it sought new graduates with degrees in business administration, policy, and social sciences, giving preference to those proficient in English and Chinese. This indicates the company’s intention not only to immediately bring in experienced personnel but also to cultivate talent internally over the medium to long term.
The reason the company is focusing on global response by recruiting talent across various job categories from new graduates to experienced professionals this year lies in the changing characteristics of the semiconductor industry. As competition between countries in the semiconductor sector intensifies, understanding overseas trends has become crucial. The fact that the United States, which has declared a semiconductor manufacturing revival, is holding a presidential election this year is also cited as a reason why overseas analysis work has become more important.
A company official said, "Recently, not only we but other companies are also putting effort into global response," describing it as "an overall industry atmosphere."
