An off-duty active firefighter quickly responded to a fire at an apartment in Songpa-gu, Seoul, preventing major damage.
According to the Songpa Fire Station on the 11th, at around 9:23 a.m. on the 9th, Fire Chief Choi Chang-wook of the Songpa Fire Station noticed flames coming from an external balcony of the apartment complex.
After requesting a 119 emergency call, Chief Choi headed to the fire location and used a fire extinguisher and indoor fire hydrant to suppress the fire. Thanks to his swift response, fortunately, there were no casualties. He stayed at the scene until the dispatched firefighters arrived and then left.
