A, an aide to a current National Assembly member from the Busan area, has been confirmed to have submitted a letter of resignation to the lawmaker's office.
Busan Nambu Police Station announced on the 11th that they investigated A on theft charges on the 8th and plan to send the case without detention.
According to the police, A is suspected of taking about 100,000 won in cash placed on the counter at a lottery store in Nam-gu, Busan, on the 4th.
The lottery store reported to the police that A took the cash at that time.
It is understood that A submitted the resignation letter after the report was filed and the incident became known.
