Gyeonggi-do, Opportunity Innovation Forum 'Gyeongbasi' Theme for This Year is AI... Held on 12th-13th
Gyeonggi Province will hold the Opportunity Innovation Forum "Gyeongbasi" (Time to Change Gyeonggi Province) on the 12th and 13th under the theme "Artificial Intelligence (AI), Opportunities and Challenges."
Gyeongbasi is a policy forum led by Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, conducted with provincial government employees to prepare for the future, first held in 2022.
In its first year, it was held seven times focusing on future new growth industries such as semiconductors, climate change, bio, and future cars, and in 2023, it was held twice on the topics of generative artificial intelligence and low birthrate countermeasures.
This year, under the theme of artificial intelligence, the forum aims to enhance understanding of the impact and limitations of AI on our society and to provide time to consider AI industry development and administrative innovation using AI.
On the 12th at 2 p.m., Jo Yong-min, CEO of Unbound Lab Dev, will give a lecture titled "Changes That Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Will Bring to the World." CEO Jo Yong-min is an expert in artificial intelligence and machine learning (technology that aims to realize human learning abilities in computers) and will discuss the positive changes and applications AI will bring.
On the 13th at 10 a.m., Professor Kim Dae-sik of KAIST will give a lecture titled "Understanding and Preparing for the Limitations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology," discussing the limitations and roles of AI. Professor Kim Dae-sik is an authority in neuroscience and artificial intelligence.

This year's Gyeongbasi will be held in the main auditorium on the first floor of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government building, with 350 attendees including employees. Gyeonggi Province will live-stream the lectures through the official provincial government YouTube channel.
