Intervention Before Driver Drowsiness... Harman's New Feature to Be Installed in Ferrari
Automotive technology company Harman announced on the 8th that it will serve as the official partner of Scuderia Ferrari for the Formula One (F1) season. This marks the second consecutive year following last year.
Christian Sobotka, President of Harman's Automotive Division, said, "Following a successful first year, we look forward to our partnership with Scuderia Ferrari for the new campaign this racing season," adding, "We plan to expand our technology partnership to provide numerous key ‘Ready Care’ safety features for Ferrari customers."
Ready Care is an in-vehicle driver monitoring system developed by Harman. This system will be integrated into upcoming Ferrari models. The technology includes eye-tracking functionality to ensure the driver’s attention is not distracted and remains focused on road driving.

Ready Care uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and neuroscience to detect moments when the driver’s attention may be distracted or drowsiness may occur, helping the driver stay focused. The company explained that this technology, which intervenes in driving in a customized manner, is the first of its kind to be applied by an automaker.
