Search and Seizure of Author Over 'Resident Doctor Deletes Data Before Resignation' Post
The police conducted a forced investigation on the original author who posted online in a community instructing to delete hospital data before the collective resignation of residents.
On the 7th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they conducted a search and seizure on Mr. A, who wrote the resident guideline post on Medistaff, a platform used by doctors and medical students, the day before.
Mr. A, presumed to be a doctor based in Seoul, is suspected of posting on an internet community on the 19th of last month, urging residents to delete hospital data before resigning.
The post included content such as, "Delete the handover sheet from the desktop, erase files from the department's shared folder, and change all set orders in a strange way before leaving. Some hospitals can recover deleted data, so it is best to arbitrarily alter them."
