The Uljin-gun Medical Center, a regional public medical institution, is maintaining essential medical services without disruption by operating with specialists during the medical community’s collective action. This includes pediatric emergency night care (Monday to Thursday, 6 PM to 10 PM on weekdays), extended nephrology outpatient hours on Saturday mornings (7:30 AM to 12:30 PM), 24-hour emergency kidney dialysis, and round-the-clock emergency room operation.
Additionally, since the inauguration of the 10th director, Jo Young-rae, on the 4th, and the recruitment of three specialists (in family medicine, otolaryngology, and radiology), the center is doing its utmost to promote the lives and health of Uljin residents.
With the health care crisis level elevated to severe (2.23), Uljin-gun has established the Uljin-gun Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (headed by the governor of Uljin-gun) to monitor the operation rates of emergency medical institutions daily, inspect local health care facilities, and minimize inconvenience for residents using medical institutions by providing information on available hospitals and pharmacies within the district through the Uljin-gun website.
