Gurye 5-Day Market Opens 'Weekend Market'

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will operate a weekend market starting from March 9 to revitalize the traditional market and promote the sales of excellent local agricultural and specialty products.

Every Saturday and Sunday, a food market operated by youth stores and a market selling seasonal wild vegetables and agricultural and specialty products directly cultivated and harvested by local residents will be held within the 5-day market.

The county stated that it will add vitality to the 5-day market with specialized items and differentiated spaces, allowing local residents and tourists to enjoy shopping and relaxation while experiencing the old rural charm and hospitality.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “We will actively support the Gurye 5-day Market, which has been loved by many residents and tourists, to become a premium market that can showcase Gurye’s diverse attractions.”
