NearsLab Drone 'Aiden' Wins iF Design Award Main Prize
Autonomous Flight Expertise Combined in Self-Made Drone
Functionality and Design Excellence Also Evaluated
Nearthlab announced on the 6th that its autonomous flight drone 'Aiden' won the main prize at the prestigious iF Design Award. The iF Design Award is considered one of the world's top three design awards, along with the Red Dot Design Award and the IDEA Design Award.
Aiden was selected as a winning work by a jury of 132 experts from various countries for its small yet robust design and for providing socially meaningful solutions. Despite its lightweight of 2 kg, Aiden is an autonomous flight drone capable of performing missions in various environments such as defense, public safety, and industrial safety.

Nearthlab was selected last year for the 'Small and Medium Enterprise Industrial Design Support Project' by the Seoul Design Foundation and completed the design of Aiden in collaboration with the design specialist company Dpartners. Choi Jae-hyuk, CEO of Nearthlab, said, “Winning the iF Design Award recognizes not only the exterior design but also Nearthlab's excellent AI technology,” adding, “We will continue our efforts to make AI autonomous flight technology comfortable and elegant to use.”
