Jungjingong 'Innovation Voucher' First Recruitment Competition Rate 7.7 to 1
Voucher Services up to 50 Million KRW for Consulting, Technical Support, Marketing, etc.
New Serious Accident Prevention Voucher Established, Supporting Safety and Health Management System Setup and Equipment Purchase
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 5th that it has finalized the selection of the first round of participating companies for the '2024 Small Business Innovation Voucher' to support the competitiveness enhancement of manufacturing small and medium enterprises.
The Small Business Innovation Voucher is a project that supports 12 types of services such as consulting, technical support, and marketing through the provision of vouchers composed of government subsidies and company contributions. This year's support budget is a total of 55.8 billion KRW, of which about 35 billion KRW will be supported through the first recruitment round.
This year's first round of Innovation Voucher participants were recruited in four categories: ▲General Voucher ▲Carbon Neutral Management Innovation Voucher ▲Serious Accident Prevention Voucher ▲Re-start Consulting Voucher. The Small and Medium Business Corporation expanded the support target by abolishing the existing application requirement of 'companies with a product sales ratio of 50% or more' and applying only the main business judgment criteria according to the Small and Medium Enterprise Basic Act.
In addition, to support small and medium enterprises in responding to the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, the 'Serious Accident Prevention Voucher' was newly established. This provides comprehensive support for manufacturing micro-enterprises struggling to comply with the Serious Accident Punishment Act by supporting the establishment of safety and health management systems such as work environment risk assessment and worker health management, as well as the purchase of safety equipment, enabling practical countermeasures.
More than 7,000 manufacturing small and medium enterprises applied for this recruitment, recording a competition rate of 7.7 to 1. The Small and Medium Business Corporation evaluated the commercialization capabilities and growth potential of the first-round applicants and finally selected 906 companies for support. The selected companies will sign agreements starting in March and can use the voucher services until February 28, 2025.
