BlueTop Selected as National Project Partner for Developing High-Voltage PCB Power Modules for Electric Vehicles
BlueTop, a specialized company in printed circuit boards (PCBs) for automotive electronics, announced on the 4th that it has been selected as the national project operator for the 800-volt "Development of Asymmetric Multilayer PCB Integrated Power Module for Electric Vehicle Drive Inverters," organized by the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The national research project aims to develop a 'power module for inverter drive' for high-voltage 800-volt electric vehicles, which is essential to extend the driving range of electric vehicles to 600 km.
BlueTop's selection as the national project operator is interpreted as government recognition of its accumulated mass production technology for asymmetric multilayer PCBs for automotive electronics through continuous research and development.
The total project cost for this research and development is approximately 5 billion KRW. BlueTop will oversee the entire project. The project will start in July this year and conclude in December 2027.
