The Hyundai Seoul Opens 'Epic Seoul,' a Space Combining Shopping and Relaxation
220-pyeong Space on 5th Floor... Offering a Unique Shopping Experience
Hyundai Department Store announced on the 3rd that it has opened a new concept space called 'EPIC SEOUL' on the 5th floor of The Hyundai Seoul, combining a customer lounge and a pop-up store, covering approximately 730㎡ (220 pyeong).
EPIC SEOUL consists of a customer rest area (360㎡, 110 pyeong), which occupies about half of the total space, and a pop-up store area (250㎡, 75 pyeong). It is located adjacent to 'Sounds Forest' (3,300㎡, 1,000 pyeong) in the center of the 5th floor, separated by the customer flow path. The company explained, "We renewed the area where children's clothing stores were previously located to introduce EPIC SEOUL," adding, "We have prepared a dedicated space where customers can comfortably rest while enjoying unique pop-up stores."

The name EPIC SEOUL combines EPIC?which expresses the values to be delivered through this space such as Experience, Passion, Innovation, and Creativity?with 'Seoul,' reinforcing the identity of The Hyundai Seoul as a representative complex mall in Korea. Based on this, the company explained that EPIC SEOUL is designed to allow customers to immerse themselves in new and diverse content experiences while resting.
Hyundai Department Store plans to maximize new shopping experiences by utilizing EPIC SEOUL. The pop-up space will showcase various pop-ups including exclusive content collaborated with global icons such as K-pop stars and high-end brands, immersive art exhibitions incorporating digital technology, and introductions to the latest releases from global entertainment companies.
Starting with the debut 1st anniversary pop-up (March 1?17) featuring a performance by the five-member male virtual idol group 'PLAYB,' the pop-up zone for 'Inside Out 2' presented in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Korea, and the 'Seoul Auction Designer Exhibition' where visitors can encounter various works such as paintings, videos, and sculptures discovered by Seoul Auction, will continue until June. In addition, content from various fields including idols, art, fashion, luxury goods, games, movies, and animation are coordinating detailed schedules.
