Presidential Office: "No Japan-Korea Summit Scheduled This Month... Leaders May Visit Each Other When Convenient"
The Presidential Office announced on the 1st that there are no plans for a summit meeting between President Yoon Suk-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida this month.
A senior official from the Presidential Office told reporters at the Yongsan Presidential Office on the same day, "There are no efforts to promote a Korea-Japan summit in March, so there are no plans for a summit meeting."

The official explained, "Last year, the Korea-Japan summit resumed after 12 years, and there have been seven active Korea-Japan summit diplomatic shuttles within a year," adding, "The spirit of shuttle diplomacy is that the leaders of Korea and Japan come and go at any convenient time without being bound by political conditions."
