Hyosung Appoints Noh Ki-su, Former LG Chem President, as Head of Hyosung Technology Institute

View original imageHyosung announced on the 29th that it will appoint Noh Ki-su, former president of LG Chem, as Vice Chairman and Head of Hyosung Technical Research Center on the 4th of next month.
The newly appointed Vice Chairman Noh Ki-su is a technical expert in the petrochemical field, having graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and earned his master's and doctorate degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
From 2001 to 2005, Vice Chairman Noh served as a research director at Mitsui Chemicals in Japan. Subsequently, from 2005 to 2021, he held various key positions at LG Chem, including Head of the Polyolefin Research Institute, Head of the Rubber and Specialty Resin Division, Head of the Functional Resin Division, Head of the Materials Division, Head of the Central Research Institute, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), playing a pivotal role in the growth of the domestic chemical industry and securing global competitiveness.
In recognition of these contributions, he was awarded the Silver Tower Industrial Medal in 2017.

Vice Chairman Noh is expected to contribute to Hyosung’s core chemical business as well as the discovery of future growth businesses and opportunity creation, based on his extensive research, development, and business operation experience in various chemical material fields including PP (polypropylene), polymers, electronic materials, energy, and new materials related to displays.
