Daegu Dong-gu Office Completes 3.37km Barefoot Walking Trail Along Kumho River Embankment
Completion of Gonghanggyo to Hwaranggyo Section
Construction Underway from Hwaranggyo to Yulhacheongyo
Daegu Dong-gu Office (Mayor Yoon Seok-jun) recently completed a section of the barefoot walking trail project being developed along the embankment from Geumhogangbyeon Gonghanggyo Bridge to Yulhacheongyo Bridge.
The recently completed section covers a 3.37 km stretch from Gonghanggyo Bridge to Ayanggyo Bridge (1.17 km) and from Ayanggyo Bridge to Hwaranggyo Bridge (2.2 km). This section features a walking trail made with functional masato soil, an event path, foot washing stations, restrooms, and comprehensive information boards.

View original imageDaegu Dong-gu Office is currently carrying out a barefoot walking trail project along the embankment from Gonghanggyo Bridge to Yulhacheongyo Bridge, covering 5.24 km, in response to the recent barefoot walking trend related to health. The project budget is 2.5 billion KRW.
The remaining section from Hwaranggyo Bridge to Yulhacheongyo Bridge (1.87 km) is scheduled to be completed in the first half of this year.
