Kumho Tire Receives Highest Rating in Evaluation by European Specialty Media
Kumho Tire announced that it achieved excellent results in a tire performance test conducted by the German automotive magazine ADAC.
ADAC is a 120-year-old magazine and the largest circulation media outlet in Germany. In the summer tire performance test organized by ADAC, Kumho Tire's Ecsta HS52 ranked third overall, following Continental and Michelin. This is the highest ranking among domestic companies.
This test was conducted by ADAC, which independently purchased representative European summer tires (size 215/55R 17) from 16 global tire companies, including Kumho Tire. The evaluation criteria included driving satisfaction on dry and wet roads, as well as satisfaction with environmental balance factors such as mileage, wear, noise, and sustainability. Kumho Tire received the highest grade (Good), awarded only to top-tier companies, with an overall third place.

The company explains that it is suitable for both sedans and high-performance vehicles. By applying a solid block design to the tread pattern, the tire maintains consistent road friction pressure when in contact with the road surface, reducing impact and noise while enhancing ride comfort. High-tech technology was applied to make the shoulder blocks firm and strong, improving steering performance.
Song Seonghak, Executive Director of Product Development 2, who led the development of this product, said, "The most effective way to enhance the product's value in the European market is to secure excellent results through influential automotive magazines. Based on product quality verified through extreme objective performance evaluations, we will focus on research and development to establish Kumho Tire's position as a trusted brand in the global market."
