Yeungjin College Ranks No.1 for 13 Consecutive Years as 'Most Respected Junior College in Korea'
Korea Management Association Consulting Survey
Daegu Yeungjin College has been selected as the No. 1 "Most Respected Junior College in Korea" as a result of pursuing change and innovation in line with the digital transformation era environment and dedicating itself to nurturing talents equipped with both expertise and character.
On the 27th, Yeungjin College received the No. 1 certification plaque in the "Junior College Category" at the "2024 Most Respected Companies in Korea" certification ceremony hosted by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC) at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. Yeungjin College has ranked first for 13 consecutive years since the first year the survey on the "Most Respected Junior Colleges in Korea" began.
The "Most Respected Companies (Universities) in Korea" are selected by KMAC based on 11 core values including innovation, customer, employee, society, and image value, using evaluations from industry workers, securities analysts, and consumers as indicators. The university (junior college) category survey is conducted targeting external customers such as university officials and corporate HR managers to ensure objectivity and reliability of the survey.
In this survey, Yeungjin received the highest scores among surveyed junior colleges in categories such as "Innovation for Adaptation to Change," "Activities for Student Customer Satisfaction," and "Quality of Education Service." It also scored highly in "Talent Development," "Trust in Society," and "Preference for the University."
Yeungjin College pioneered a new path in junior college education through curriculum innovation responding to digital new technology changes and the implementation of customized on-demand education tailored to the field, achieving the dual success of being the "Most Respected University" and ranking first nationwide in employment rate.
In the "2022 Higher Education Institution Graduate Employment Statistics Survey" announced last January, the college achieved an employment rate of 79.2%. This was a remarkable 4 percentage point increase compared to the previous year, the highest performance among junior colleges with over 3,000 graduates and ranked first nationwide.
Overseas employment also ranked first nationwide, surpassing 2- and 4-year universities. Among the 2022 graduates, 83 were employed by overseas companies such as those in Japan, with a total of 632 overseas employments over the past six years (2017?2022).
Yeungjin also opened the path for producing meister-level highly skilled technical talents. It was the only institution in Daegu and Gyeongbuk selected for the Ministry of Education’s core project introduced in 2021, the "Meister University Pilot Operation Project," successfully operating the "High-Skilled Technical Master’s Program in Ultra-Precision Mold Field Linked to New Industries," and on the 16th, it produced 28 professional technical master’s graduates for the first time since its founding.
Accelerating talent cultivation in digital new technology fields, Yeungjin was selected for the Ministry of Education and Korea Research Foundation’s "Advanced Field Innovation Convergence University" project in the fields of "Artificial Intelligence," "Intelligent Robots," and "Semiconductor Materials, Parts, and Equipment," dedicating itself to nurturing talent. This project is also unique to Daegu and Gyeongbuk and has the highest participation among junior colleges nationwide.
