Technical Training for 200 Multicultural Youth at Polytech Campus
Education to be conducted for 6 months starting from April 1st

View original imageThe Ministry of Employment and Labor announced on the 26th that customized technical education will be provided at 10 campuses nationwide of Korea Polytechnics to support the social advancement of youth from multicultural families.
The courses offered include precious metal processing (Seoul Gangseo Campus), video editing (Incheon), computer-aided machinery (Hwaseong), electrical wiring (Chuncheon and Dongbusan), forklift operation (Hongseong), special welding (Jeonnam), fashion design (Yeongnam Convergence Technology), and information processing (semiconductor convergence), among others.
The program targets youth aged 18 to 34 who are children born in Korea, children who immigrated mid-way, or marriage immigrants seeking employment under the Multicultural Families Support Act. This year, education will be provided for 200 participants over six months starting from April 1.
In addition to core technical training including industrial safety education, the program also includes field visits and special lectures by experts. The Ministry of Employment and Labor explained that participants can also receive Korean language education related to computer use and technical fields.

Kwon Tae-seong, Director of the Vocational Competency Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, stated, "We will expand customized education so that youth from multicultural families can demonstrate their potential and grow into future talents."
