Namwon-si Accelerates Preparation for 'Public-Private Cooperation Regional Win-Win Agreement Contest Project'
Namwon City, Jeonbuk Province, is challenging the public-private cooperation regional win-win agreement contest project hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
On the 26th, the city announced that it signed a business agreement with Pathfinder B-Corp Co., Ltd., Encore Bravo Social Cooperative, J-Wonder Co., Ltd., and Talents Co., Ltd. to attract living population.
The city plans to establish a living population hub center to revitalize the living population and enhance regional vitality.

They will purchase long-abandoned closed schools that damage the local landscape to create spaces for experiencing life in Namwon and develop various programs utilizing the region's specialized resources.
To this end, collaboration with private companies will be promoted from the project planning stage.
The city will provide administrative and financial support to achieve the project goals, while private companies will support joint development of local resources, facility management, program operation, and promotion and marketing.
Mayor Choi Kyung-sik said, “The living population hub center is essential as a focal point for living in Namwon and for sustainable living population attraction. We will prepare by joining hands with specialized companies in various fields such as local living, broadcasting program production, and job platform operation to be selected for the contest project.”
Meanwhile, the city is promoting various policies to revitalize the living population, including the nation’s first enactment of the ‘Living Population Basic Ordinance,’ provision of living population policy notification services, and operation of the Namwon Love Citizen System.
