Btuen, Sus and Challenge Participants Receive Pet Urine Diagnostic Kits on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
AI and big data specialist company Btuen announced on the 26th that it will conduct various pet video challenges on the pet-exclusive SNS platform ‘XOOX PET’ in collaboration with Sus Korea and the US-based XOOX LAB INC.
Currently, there are three pet video challenges ongoing on the platform. Participants can choose from the ‘Hugs & Kiss’ challenge, which involves creating videos of hugging and kissing pets; the ‘XOOX PR Video Making’ challenge, which promotes the XOOX (Sus) platform; and the ‘Pet Music Composition’ challenge, where pets react to music composed by their owners. Participants create and upload videos under one minute for their chosen challenge. It is also possible to participate in all three challenges simultaneously.
The challenges run until August 15th, and a promotion is being held where the first 10,000 participants for each of the ‘Hugs & Kisses’ or ‘XOOX PR Video Making’ challenges will receive a pet urine diagnostic kit, with up to 20,000 kits available in total. The kit allows self-testing of pets for urinary tract infections, kidney, liver, gastrointestinal diseases, or infections through 11 different indicators.
To participate, users need to download the ‘XOOX PET’ application, sign up, and select their desired challenge from the ongoing events. Winners for all three challenges will be determined based on the number of ‘likes’ and evaluations by a panel of judges, with the first-place winner receiving a prize of $100,000 (approximately 130 million KRW) each. Winners will also have their challenge videos displayed in New York’s Times Square. This challenge is worth trying for pet owners whose SNS feeds are full of pet content or whose photo albums are packed with videos and pictures.
The promotional video dubbing for this challenge was done by Nam Do-hyung, the world’s number one YouTuber and Korean voice actor for MrBeast. With MrBeast’s familiar voice reaching 240 million subscribers worldwide, it is expected to ignite pet owners’ enthusiasm to participate. Additionally, XOOX LAB INC. in the US announced plans to conduct a joint challenge for pets through the MrBeast channel.
The ‘XOOX PET’ application was launched on November 11th last year to convey the meaning of a platform for four-legged animals. It provides a space where users can create accounts centered on their pets and freely share photos, videos, and other content. This year, the platform has begun active promotion globally, attracting significant attention worldwide beyond Korea.
Notably, simply signing up for the ‘XOOX PET’ app automatically donates one cent to the XOOX Foundation, established to support global pet-related law reforms. The foundation plans to use the collected funds to campaign for amendments and improvements to animal-related laws worldwide.
A spokesperson for Sus stated, “This challenge is just the beginning of Sus’s special events for pet lovers and pets around the world who deserve love and protection,” adding, “We plan to develop dedicated apps and conduct various special promotions to create safer and healthier environments for pets in the future.”
