Muan-gun Promotes Support Project for Residents' Walking Clubs
Support for instructor fees and event operation costs through a contest until the 7th of next month
Efforts to spread walking culture among residents by fostering walking clubs in each town and township
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) is promoting the '2024 Muan-gun Walking Club Support Project' to spread a healthy walking culture and promote the health of residents.
According to the county on the 26th, the eligibility for support is walking clubs composed of 10 or more residents based in Muan-gun. Members must be able to attend walking-related education and events hosted or organized by Muan-gun in the future. Selected clubs will receive support such as instructor fees and event operation costs of around 1 million KRW, depending on the club size and project plan.
Applications must be submitted by the 7th of next month by filling out the application form and visiting the Muan-gun Planning Office or sending it by mail. For more details, please refer to the Muan-gun website or contact the Planning Team of the Muan-gun Planning Office.
Governor Kim San said, "As the Walkable City Muan policy shows concrete results, the walking culture is spreading among residents," adding, "I hope that walking clubs in each town and township will be systematically nurtured through this project."
Muan-gun has been promoting the Walkable City Muan project as a major policy of the 8th local government since last year. On the 19th, it held a 2024 action plan briefing session and finalized 29 action tasks under 3 strategies, including 14 new tasks.
