KOSPI Declines on Joint Selling by Institutions and Foreigners... KOSPI Threatened Below 2640 Level
The KOSPI is falling in early trading due to simultaneous selling by institutions and foreigners.
As of 9:57 a.m. on the 26th, the KOSPI recorded 2,640.23, down 27.42 points (1.03%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions are net selling 102.3 billion KRW and 26.9 billion KRW respectively. Meanwhile, individuals are net buying 57.2 billion KRW.
By sector, machinery, electric gas, and medical precision are rising more than 1%. In contrast, insurance is down more than 5%. Additionally, finance and securities are falling more than 3%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics is trading at 72,800 KRW, down 100 KRW (0.14%) from the previous trading day. Hyundai Motor and Kia are each down more than 3%. Samsung C&T is down more than 5%. On the other hand, Celltrion is up 1.11%.
The KOSDAQ recorded 869.92, up 1.35 points (0.16%).
By investor type, foreigners and institutions are net selling 27.9 billion KRW and 4.7 billion KRW respectively. Meanwhile, individuals are net buying 47.1 billion KRW.
By sector, other services are up more than 3%. Pharmaceuticals are also rising more than 1%. In contrast, broadcasting services are down more than 3%, and telecommunication broadcasting services, transportation equipment & parts, internet, and general electric electronics are down more than 1%.
