Ulsan City Supports International Express Overseas Logistics Costs... Recruiting Export SMEs
Reducing Logistics Costs and Supporting Overseas Export Development
Ulsan City has launched a project to support logistics costs for international express shipments transported by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through post offices and other means.
On the 23rd, Ulsan City announced that it will promote the "2024 International Express Overseas Logistics Cost Support Project" to help reduce the burden of export logistics costs for local SMEs and support overseas export development.
This project supports 80% of the overseas logistics costs for export companies sending shipments via Korea Post International Express (EMS), private express, and forwarding services.
The project will run from the 23rd until the budget is exhausted, with a maximum support of 2 million KRW per company.
In the case of Korea Post International Express, since 2016, an additional 11% discount on overseas logistics costs has been available through a business agreement between the Busan Regional Post Office and the Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency.
However, support for private express and forwarding services (such as vessel arrangement, shipping reservation, and final transportation) will be limited to companies whose combined revenue from product sales and rental income accounts for less than 70% of their total sales.
Participation in the project is open to SMEs registered in Ulsan, and applications can be submitted through the Ulsan Trade Support System.
For more details, please check the notices on the Ulsan Trade Support System and the Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency websites. For detailed inquiries about the project, contact the Market Development Team of the Corporate Support Department at the Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency.
