On the 23rd, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation announced that it will select institutions responsible for training in six fields, including construction welding, piping, formwork (scaffolding), rebar, painting, and digital architectural design (BIM), until March 5.
Applicants must be institutions that meet the qualification requirements and have training facility infrastructure according to the Enforcement Decree of the "National Lifelong Vocational Skills Development Act," and as of the application deadline, must possess their own training centers and practical equipment for training.
The selected training institutions will educate a total of 115 people aged 19 or older across the six occupations. Training expenses for operating the courses will also be supported.
Kim Sun-young, Head of the Convergence Talent Division at the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "The construction industry is experiencing a worsening shortage of skilled labor related to the employment environment," adding, "We will do our utmost to provide high-quality education through better selection of training institutions and to expand the resolution of labor shortages at construction sites and job linkage within the province."
