[2024 Asia Fund Awards] Samsang Asset Management, No.1 Market Share
Best Asset Manager in the ETF Sector
At the 15th annual '2024 Asia Fund Awards,' Samsung Asset Management was selected as the Best ETF Manager in the Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) category.
Samsung Asset Management is the industry’s leading ETF manager. In the past year alone, its assets under management (AUM) increased by approximately 16 trillion KRW, widening the gap with the second-place competitor. KODEX is Samsung Asset Management’s ETF brand, with net assets totaling about 52.5 trillion KRW. It holds a 40.4% market share in the domestic ETF market.
The KODEX KOFR Interest Rate Active ETF, launched by Samsung Asset Management in 2022, and the KODEX CD Interest Rate Active ETF, introduced in 2023, have maintained a 'zero loss day' record to date. These products are recognized among investors as representative 'parking-type' products. Interest rate ETFs accumulate interest income daily, generating stable returns, and allow easy deposits and withdrawals, which is why they are called parking-type ETFs.
