Statistics Korea Launches Survey on Cybersecurity Workforce Status
Discovery of 203 Types from 60 National Tasks
Improvement Plans Sent to Policy Departments
On the 19th, Statistics Korea announced that this year, through the 'National Statistics Development Project,' it will directly support the improvement and development of statistics necessary for national tasks such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 'Status of the Social Service Industry' and the Ministry of Science and ICT's 'Survey on the Supply and Demand of Cybersecurity Personnel.'
Last year, Statistics Korea identified a total of 203 necessary statistics for 60 out of 120 national tasks and sent statistical usage guides and improvement and development plans to policy ministries. At the request of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Science and ICT, Statistics Korea will support the improvement and development of the relevant statistics.

Lee Hyung-il, Commissioner of Statistics Korea, stated, "Through the statistics-based policy support project and the national statistics development project, we will actively support the provision of high-quality statistics in a timely manner so that policy ministries can utilize them, ensuring that national tasks are carried out based on statistics and that their outcomes are maximized."
