On this day, the volunteer group collaborated with the Briquette Bank to carry out briquette sharing volunteer work for low-income households in Gaegum-dong, Busanjin-gu, and simultaneously conducted environmental cleanup activities at local social welfare centers, beaches, and theme parks in the Busan area.
Kang Seok-rae, Head of the Management Strategy Headquarters at Busan Bank, said, “We hope that the briquettes delivered this time will help residents stay warm during the remaining winter, even if just a little,” and added, “Going forward, the Busan Bank volunteer group will continue to promote practical social contribution activities that can brighten the dark areas of the community.”
Hot Picks Today
Busan Bank has designated the third Saturday of every month as ‘Local Volunteer Day’ and has been continuing volunteer activities by finding places in need across the 16 districts and counties of Busan. On BNK Social Contribution Day last January, about 1,000 employees participated in various sharing volunteer activities such as packing daily necessities bundles and children’s stationery sets for vulnerable groups, and making hot packs.
