From the 16th to the 23rd, Busan City will conduct an 'online vote' to select the 'Outstanding Public Officials for Proactive Administration in the Second Half of 2023.'
Since 2021, the city has incorporated an 'online vote' involving direct citizen participation to select and promote cases of proactive administration that citizens can empathize with and experience firsthand, reflecting this in the selection of outstanding public officials.
Since 2020, to foster and spread a culture of proactive work within public service, officials who have contributed to city development and citizen convenience are selected every half-year.
Selected officials receive exceptional personnel benefits such as special promotions and the highest grade of performance bonuses, along with common incentives like special leave and additional points for policy training.
Any Busan citizen wishing to participate in this selection process can vote through the survey on the Busan City website during the voting period, choosing 10 out of 20 proactive administration cases that have passed internal review.
The city will combine the voting results with evaluation scores from the Proactive Administration Resident Monitoring Group, the Proactive Administration Youth Supporters, and the Proactive Administration Committee to finalize the selection of outstanding public officials by the end of February.
