Suwon with GTX-C·F Line Transfer Station, Expected to Benefit from 'Maegyo Station Pallucid'
Suwon Station, which has been attracting attention as the starting point of the GTX-C line, is set to become a GTX transfer station with the addition of the F line, and the ‘Maegyo Station Pallucid’ complex, located just one station away from Suwon Station, is gaining attention as a direct beneficiary.
At the groundbreaking ceremony for the GTX-C line held on the 25th, attended by President Yoon Suk-yeol, development plans for the newly established D, E, and F lines were also announced. Among these, the F line, which will circulate through the Gyeonggi area including Bucheon, Gimpo, and Uijeongbu, is confirmed to pass through Suwon Station. Thus, Suwon Station will become a transfer station for both the C and F lines.
The C line will extend the existing Suwon?Yangju section by adding the Asan?Suwon and Yangju?Dongducheon sections, traversing the northern and southern ends of the Seoul metropolitan area. With the addition of the F line, Suwon Station will effectively have a wide-area transportation network covering the entire metropolitan area.
Thanks to this development, the area around Suwon Station is expected to become a key transportation hub in the southern metropolitan area. Suwon Station, which already serves four lines including Line 1, the Suin-Bundang Line, the Gyeongbu Line, and KTX, will become a large-scale transfer station with a total of six lines including two GTX lines. Additionally, Suwon Station received a boost last year when funding for the direct connection project of the Suwon-origin KTX project was secured during the National Assembly budget review.
Real estate experts are focusing on the future value of the area around Suwon Station. Recently, with the opening of Starfield Suwon near Hwaseo Station, just one subway stop from Suwon Station, the old downtown area around Suwon Station has emerged as a distribution battleground alongside AK Plaza and Lotte Mall. This large-scale wide-area transportation development is expected to attract a massive floating population, thereby increasing the regional value.
Along with this, the area around Maegyo Station on the Suin-Bundang Line, just one station from Suwon Station, is expected to transform into a new residential town with about 12,000 households supplied by Maegyo Station Pallucid.
A real estate expert said, “The old downtown area around Suwon Station has rapidly taken on a new appearance, starting with large-scale apartment supply and the opening of the Suin-Bundang Line. With the double benefits of the GTX-C and F lines and the opening of Starfield, the area around Suwon Station is expected to transform at an even faster pace.”
Meanwhile, ‘Maegyo Station Pallucid,’ a complex with a total of 2,178 households constructed by Samsung C&T Construction Division, SK Ecoplant, and Kolon Global, is attracting attention as a beneficiary complex of the GTX development. This complex is located in the Maegyo Station area on the Suin-Bundang Line and is conveniently located just one station away from Suwon Station, where the GTX-C and F lines are scheduled to open. It is close to educational facilities such as Gwonsun Elementary School within walking distance, as well as Suwon Middle and High Schools, and lifestyle infrastructure including AK Plaza, Lotte Department Store, Suwoncheon Stream, and Olympic Park. It is also near Samsung Electronics Suwon Campus, Hwaseong/Giheung Campuses, and Gwanggyo Techno Valley.
