CJ Group made a bold move in its 2024 regular executive appointments by selecting a 33-year-old employee as a management leader. This is the first time a person born in the 1990s has been promoted to an executive position since Lee Sun-ho, the son of Chairman Lee Jae-hyun, who is the Head of Food Growth Promotion at CJ CheilJedang.
The most eye-catching figure in this year's executive appointments announced by CJ Group on the 16th is Bang Joon-sik, a management leader at CJ CGV. Born in 1990, he is currently a young talent aged 33. Excluding the owner family, he is the first executive born in the 1990s within CJ Group. Leader Bang was appointed as an executive in recognition of his contribution to both quantitative and qualitative growth through the global commercialization of original content business.

Olive Young's cumulative sales for the third quarter of last year reached 2.7971 trillion won, already surpassing the previous year's total sales of 2.7774 trillion won.
Son Mo-a, a management leader at CJ Olive Young, was born in 1987 and is praised for promoting the skincare trend and the next-generation differentiation strategy called 'Slow Aging,' achieving high performance. Kwon Ga-eun, another management leader at CJ Olive Young, was born in 1986. She led the establishment of a mid- to long-term global strategy for domestic business evolution and the full-scale launch of global business.
CJ Group has also appointed many young talents by producing executives born in the 1980s in the 2023 regular executive appointments.
