K4 Sweeps 1st and 2nd Place on Japan USEN Western Music Chart
The four-member male group K4 has reached number one on the Japanese USEN chart.
On the 16th, their agency Forest Network announced that K4's Japanese pre-debut album "K4YOU-K for you~" track "Yukinoka" ranked first on the Western music ranking of Japan's largest wired broadcasting USEN chart dated the 14th.
Another track from the album, "From the Beginning Until Now," also took second place on the chart, monopolizing the TOP 2 positions.
K4 is a trot idol group formed by the winner and top contestants (Oh Jooju, Jo Jun, Kim Hyunmin, Ryu Philip) of the MBN audition program Hello Trot aired in 2022. In Japan, where it is difficult for rookies to enter the market, they have built a considerable fandom over about three months, demonstrating their influence to the extent that Haneda Airport, the gateway to Japan, was temporarily paralyzed by the crowd of fans. Based on this fandom, they recently had a successful pre-debut with Sony.

After entering Japan, K4 conducted promotions nationwide simultaneously with the release of their pre-debut album in October last year.
An agency official said, "Thanks to the explosive support in just four months, we achieved the results of ranking first and second on the USEN Western music chart," adding, "Although their recognition in Korea is still low, since their pre-debut was praised at the start in Japan, we will take a bold step with Sony in the adult K-pop genre, aiming to be recognized not only in Japan but also in Korea."
