Jeongeup-si to Conduct 'National Business Survey' Until the 12th of Next Month
Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk will conduct a nationwide business survey from the 16th of this month until July 12th.
According to the city, this survey, which has been conducted annually since 1994, is a complete statistical survey essential for understanding the structure of businesses.
The survey targets all businesses (18,338 establishments) engaged in industrial activities in Jeongeup as of the survey reference date (December 31, 2023) or the survey date.
The main survey items include business name, business owner, location, establishment date, type of business, number of employees, and a total of nine items.
This survey will be conducted through on-site interviews by surveyors, and depending on the situation, it may also be conducted via telephone surveys, internet surveys, or distributed surveys.
The collected data will be reviewed and compiled by industry, employee size, organizational type, and by eup, myeon, and dong districts, including the number of businesses and employees.
The survey results will serve as basic data for policy-making by national and local governments and as a sampling frame for economic statistical surveys.
The data will be provisionally announced in September, finalized in December, posted on the city hall website, and provided to the National Statistical Portal (KOSIS).
A city official stated, “Accurate statistics are essential for establishing statistics-based policies, so we ask for active participation and responses from businesses. All surveyed information will be strictly protected under Article 33 of the Statistics Act regarding confidentiality and will only be used for statistical purposes, so there is no need to worry.”
Meanwhile, for any questions or inquiries related to the nationwide business survey, contact the city’s comprehensive statistical survey situation room or the Statistics Korea call center.
