Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Recruiting Youth Interns... Three Times Larger Scale Than Last Year
Anyone aged 19 to 34 can apply
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 15th that it will hire approximately three times more youth interns to participate in the cultural policy sector compared to last year.
In the first half of the year, 146 people will be recruited to work at the Ministry headquarters and twenty-nine affiliated institutions including museums, libraries, Korea National University of Arts, and the National Gugak Center. Any youth aged 19 to 34 can apply. The announcement will be posted on the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism website and the Ministry of Personnel Management's Nara Work website on the 16th.
The Ministry will accept applications from the 22nd to the 26th. After document screening and interviews, the final successful candidates will be announced on the website on the 20th of next month. Those hired in the first half will work from April to September. Recruitment for the second half will be announced in July, with a target of thirty people.

Youth interns can gain experience in curatorial work such as exhibition, research, and cultural heritage preservation treatment at museums and art galleries; librarian duties such as book and material collection and archiving at libraries; and practical performance work such as stage equipment, lighting, and costumes at the National Gugak Center. The Ministry plans to enhance work efficiency by supporting activities such as mentoring by the 2030 advisory group, discussion meetings to gather suggestions, and field visits to policy sectors.
